HELP!

I need some tech advise. I was cruising Google today for sites that have me linked and came across a website that has my name in their code. I did not click it because it is says it is a pedophile board. The last thing I need is for my site to be linked with trash like that. Any advise?

Best thing to do is check out the whois info for the domain and report it to the host and the police. I don't know about the states but in england there's contact info on how to report net crimes on the polices website.

Thanks for the advise. Here is the thing: I don't even want to click that link. With our current political situation, I would hate to have my records or computer investigated at some point and have that site show in my history. Seems like the sort of thing that could cause me a lot of trouble.

Still trying to figure this out...

You don't need to click the link and I'd agree that you shouldn't.

You can fill in the domain name on this site http://www.dnsstuff.com/ in the whois lookup box and it'll give you contact details for the domain. Now they are more than likely fake if it is an illegal site but you never know.

You can then report the site at http://www.asacp.org/report.php or at http://www.iwf.org.uk/

Good luck.

At this point, I wouldn't panic. If it's a message board, odds are that people talk on and off topic - they probably link to CNN.com as well, but that doesn't say anything about CNN either. You can't control who links to you, only who you link out to.
