DB: Hello, Domina Betka. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and information with Dominant Beauty's visitors, and with me. Let me start by saying that our site's big question is, "What is it about strong, beautiful women that can reduce men to quivering balls of flesh at their feet?"
BS: It's quite simple, really. Men are inherently visual in almost all that they do. Fortunately for the stunningly beautiful woman, this makes them easily malleable. Associating so many of their emotions with their eyes makes them easy prey for a beautiful woman because she can use her appearance to distract, manipulate and easily control the creature. I think that when a woman is strong, men tend to try and fight the natural urge to submit to her. When she is beautiful, as well, this makes it extremely difficult for them to fight. Also, the culmination of the different forms of strength gives the woman an aura of confidence that can be very intoxicating to men, making them addicted to her energy and natural femininity.
DB: With that in mind, have You, personally, found this to be true?
BS: Absolutely true, and I take full advantage of this. I do believe simply being attractive is not enough, you must have the intelligence to use it, and the fortitude to press on even if the beast is difficult to control because of a lack of training. I had been planning on relocating here for a few years and just could never make the time to actually move. DB: Do You find it to be a particularly kinky locale?
BS: Yes, but not in a traditional "fetishy" sense. The fetish scene here is certainly awaiting something fresh and exciting but the city itself is very sex positive. We boast the most strip clubs per capita in the united states! ;) There are also about a dozen BDSM lifestyle organizations, so there is usually something naughty to be found. DB: Do You travel and do guest appearances at other dungeons?
BS: I travel frequently throughout California and Texas. Prearranged travel to other locations including international travel is available. When in Los Angeles the dungeons I prefer are DS Studios , Ivy Manor (the dungeon of Mistress Isabella Sinclaire), Wicked Garden (the dungeon of Mistress Pandora), or Torturella's depending on My mood and the particular scene. When in SF I prefer Simone Cross' space or Vinyl Queen's. I also do public scenes at the Power Exchange. When in Texas I prefer Mistress Precious' Den in Houston or smaller private dungeons.
DB: Do You own Your own facility?
BS: It is a 3,500 sq ft multi-room facility that boasts a medical room with 2 exam tables and a dentist chair, a classroom with desks, lockers and the like, Japanese rope bondage room, cage room, crossdressing parlor, and the main room which has 6 remote control suspension hoists, Catherine wheel, stocks, bondage tables and chairs, a crucifix, and a floating bondage table.
DB: What sorts of scenes are Your favorites?
BS: See above ;) I enjoy extended and overnight scenes very much as well.
DB: Do You have a set protocol that a prospective client must adhere to?
BS: Yes, I prefer that they read My website thoroughly before calling. Then, I will conduct a short interview via telephone to be sure our interests and goals match up. If all goes well there, they will book an appointment and be given a deposit amount and confirmation time. If they confirm on time they are given directions to meet Me and then I conduct a more extensive in-person interview. If all goes well there, we proceed to the dungeon and I begin to work My magic. ;)
DB: You have several lovely websites. How do You feel that the Internet has affected professional domination and BDSM in general?
BS: I feel as though it has saturated the scene a lot with people who are just looking to get a quick sexual fix. It has made a lot of people whose voices shouldn't be heard more prominent but it has also opened up a Pandora's box of information about safe , sane and consensual SM that is now readily and easily available for newbies and the curious, alike. I will reserve judgment as to whether it has helped or hurt the scene in general. As for Professional domination it has done a few things. It has made marketing a lot easier, as well as really being able to give My clients an idea about who I am and the types of sessions I offer. You can't do that nearly as easily with a paper advertisement. It also allows a lot of potential slaves the ability to live vicariously through others in the way that only video did before.
DB: One of Your sites, The Demonatrix.com, has an extensive membership area. Do You require that prospective clients join Your site? What can members expect to see?
BS: Most definitely, how on earth can they possibly serve Me in any capacity without having an intimate knowledge of My perversities. The only way to achieve this is through My members site. I update My journal with juicy details several times per week, there are over 500 new photos added each month, plus videos of actual scenes, slave writings, and even a webcam where they can interact with Me. What better way to know if we are compatible?
DB: It seems that once upon a time, BDSM was not mentioned in polite conversation. Nowadays, one hears about it on the news, sees it in films, and, of course, all over the Internet. What do You imagine for the future of our kinky tribe?
BS: I think the market will continue to be saturated with insincere individuals who are looking to either make a quick buck or an even quicker fuck! Eventually, this trend will wear off and the true players will be, again, in the limelight alone with a new found acceptance from the vanilla world at large.
